یہ سطریں "ٹی ایس ایلیٹ" کی تحریر کردہ نظم "کھوکھلے انسان" سے لی گئی ہیں۔
context:
In this poem the poet criticise the robotic life of modern man. He called the modern man a stuffed man. The modern age has reduced human beings to machine. He condemns the spiritual emptiness of modem man.
اس نظم میں شاعر جدید دور کے  انسان کی مشینی زندگی پر تنقید کرتا ہے۔ اس نے جدید دور کے  انسان کو بھوسہ بھرا آدمی کہا۔ جدید دور نے انسانوں کو مشین بنا دیا ہے۔ وہ جدید دور کے انسان کے روحانی  خالی پن کی مذمت کرتا ہے۔

In these lines the poet is of the view that we are just hollow and stuffed men. Our efforts are fruitless like the running of rats or rustling grass. We have formless shapes. We do not have the real spirit and enthusiasm. We have nothing to say because we know nothing. We are stuffed men like puppets or dolls. We have force but we do not know how to make its best use. Therefore, we have paralysed force. We have no ambition or goal in our life. We are not anxious to get something. Our actions and deeds are hollow.
ان سطور میں شاعر کا نظریہ ہے کہ ہم صرف کھوکھلے اور بھوسہ بھرے انسان ہیں۔ ہماری کوششیں چوہوں کےدوڑنے یا گھاس کی سرسراہٹ کی طرح بے نتیجہ ہیں۔ ہمارے پاس بے شکل شکلیں ہیں۔ ہمارے پاس اصل روح اور جوش نہیں ہے۔ہمارے پاس کہنے کے لیےکچھ نہیں ہے کیونکہ ہمیں کچھ نہیں معلوم۔ ہم کٹھ پتلیوں یا گڑیا کی طرح بھوسہ بھرے ہوئے انسان ہیں۔ ہمارے پاس طاقت ہے لیکن ہم نہیں جانتے کہ اس کا بہترین استعمال کیسے کریں۔ لہذا ہم مفلوج قوت رکھتےہیں۔ ہماری زندگی میں کوئی آرزو   یا مقصدنہیں ہے۔ ہم کچھ حاصل کرنے کے لئے بے چین نہیں ہیں۔ ہمارے اعمال اور کام کھوکھلے ہیں۔
