Poem No. 5: In the street of fruit stall  پھل فروشوں کی گلی میں
Q.1:	Write the central idea of the poem?
نظم کا مرکزی خیال لکھیں؟
Ans.	This is a symbolic poem. The poet shows that this world is threatened with war, misery and poverty. But all these have failed to crush man’s love for pleasure.
یہ ایک علامتی نظم ہے۔ شاعر دکھاتا ہے کہ اس دنیا کو جنگ ، بدحالی اور غربت کا خطرہ ہے۔ لیکن یہ سب انسان کی خوشی سے محبت کو کچلنے میں ناکام رہے ہیں۔
Q.2:	What are the feelings of the poet standing in the dark?
اندھیرے میں کھڑے  ہوئےشاعر کے کیا احساسات ہیں؟
Ans.	Though the poet is looking at the children enjoying the fruits but he disturbed by the misery and poverty of the people.
اگرچہ شاعر بچوں کو پھلوں سے لطف اندوز ہوتے ہوئے دیکھ رہا ہے لیکن وہ لوگوں کے دکھ اور غربت سے پریشان ہے۔
Q.3:	Why has the poet used “cannon balls” to describe the fruits?
شاعر نے پھلوں کو بیان کرنے کے لئے "توپ کےگولے" کو کیوں استعمال کیا ہے؟
Ans.	The threatening of war, terrorism, diseases and poverty is very much present in the mind of the poet. So the fruits look like the cannon balls to the poet.
جنگ ، دہشت گردی ، بیماریوں اور غربت کا خوف شاعر کے ذہن میں موجود ہے۔ چنانچہ پھل شاعر کو توپ کےگولے کی طرح لگتے ہیں۔

جب شاعر نے عورت کو دیکھا تو کیا عکاسی کی؟
Ans.	The poet reflected that only those who bear the burden of life and face its hardships boldly are strong.
شاعر نے بیان کیا کہ صرف وہی لوگ مضبوط ہیں جو زندگی کا بوجھ برداشت کرتے ہیں اور اس کی مشکلات کا دلیری سے مقابلہ کرتے ہیں۔

نظم کا مرکزی خیال کیا ہے؟
Ans.	This poem is a tribute to a working woman. The poet praises the working woman who has turned practically her work into art.
یہ نظم ایک کام کرنے والی عورت کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتی ہے۔ شاعر کام کرنے والی عورت کی تعریف کرتا ہے جس نے عملی طور پر اپنے کام کو فن میں بدل دیا ہے۔

نظم پڑھ کر کراچی کی کچی آبادیوں کی ہمیں کیا تصویر ملتی ہے؟
Ans.	The Sindhi woman passes through stones, garbage, excrement and pieces of bread as well as the broken glass. This is the scene of a Karachi slum.
سندھی عورت پتھر ، کچرا ، گندگی اور روٹی کے ٹکڑوں کے ساتھ ساتھ ٹوٹے ہوئے شیشے سے گذرتی ہے۔ یہ کراچی کی ایک کچی آبادی کا منظر ہے۔

سندھی عورت کردار کی کیاخصوصیات رکھتی ہے؟
Ans.	Sindhi women are patient and hardworking. They have learnt to stand straight and tall in difficult circumstances.
سندھی عورتیں صبرکرنے والی  اور محنتی ہیں۔ انہوں نے مشکل حالات میں سیدھے اور لمبے کھڑے ہونا سیکھ لیا ہے۔
