Poem No. 9: the feedدانہ
Q.1:	What does the sparrow hold in her beck?
چڑیا  اپنی  چونچ میں کیا پکڑتی ہے؟
Ans.	The mother sparrow holds a grain of millet in her beck.
ماں چڑیا اپنی چونچ میں باجرے کا ایک دانہ پکڑتی ہے ۔
Q.2:	How many young ones are to be fed?
کتنےبچوں  کو کھانا کھلایا جانا ہے؟
Ans.	There are ten young ones who are waiting to be fed by mother.
دس بچے ہیں جو منتظر ہیں کہ ماں ان کو کھلایا کھلائے۔
Q.3:	What is the message of the poem?
نظم کا کیا پیغام ہے؟
Ans.	The love of mother for the young ones is the message of the poem. She sacrifices her comfort for the young ones.
ماں کی بچوں کے لئے محبت ہی نظم کا پیغام ہے۔ وہ جوانوں کے لیےاپنے سکون کو قربان کردیتی ہے۔

Poem No. 10: the hollow men کھوکھلے انسان
Q.1:	Why does the poet call modern men as hollow men?
شاعر جدید دور کے انسانوں کو کھوکھلے انسان کیوں کہتا ہے؟
Ans.	The poet calls modern men as hollow men because their activities have become mechanical. They are no more real men. They are like robots.
شاعر جدید دور کے انسانوں کو کھوکھلے انسان کہتا ہے کیونکہ ان کی سرگرمیاںمشینی ہوگئی ہیں۔ اب وہ اصلی آدمی نہیں ہیں۔ وہ روبوٹ کی طرح ہیں۔
Q.2:	What has made modern man paralysed?
جدیددور کے انسان کو کس نے مفلوج کیا ہے؟
Ans.	The modern man lacks passions in life. His activities are mechanical. This has made his life paralysed.
جدید دور کے  انسان کی زندگی میں جذبے کی کمی ہے۔ اس کی سرگرمیاں مشینی ہیں۔ اس نے اس کی زندگی مفلوج کردی ہے۔

نظم کا عنوان "کھوکھلے انسان" کیا ظاہرکرتا ہے؟
Ans.	The title of the poem “The Hollow Men” suggests that modern man is not leading a natural life.
" کھوکھلے انسان" نظم کے عنوان سے پتہ چلتا ہے کہ جدید دور کا انسان فطری زندگی نہیں گزاررہا ہے۔
