These lines have been taken from the poem “In the Street of Fruit Stalls” written by “Jan Stallworthy”.

context:
The threatening of war, terrorism, diseases and poverty is very much present in the mind of the poet. So he has depicted shabby picture of life. But all the miseries of life are failed to keep away man from enjoying his happiness.
جنگ کا خوف ، دہشت گردی ، بیماریوں اور غربت شاعر کے ذہن میں موجود ہے۔ چنانچہ اس نے زندگی کی خستہ حال تصویر پیش کی ہے۔ لیکن زندگی کی ساری پریشانیاں انسان کو خوشی سے لطف اندوز ہونے سے دور رکھنے میں ناکام ہو گئی ہے۔

In these lines the poet says that the street is full of stalls of various fruits like melon, guava, and mandarin. The round fruits look like cannonballs. The fruits reflect red-hot, gold-hot colour in the light of the lantern. He highlights the major threats of war, misery and poverty to the world. He also mentions the innocence of children. They enjoy the fruit and the juice sticks to their fingers, cheek, nose, and chin. He wants to show that even the threats of war, misery and poverty cannot crush the human joys, love and innocence.
ان سطروں میں شاعر کہتا ہے کہ گلی میں مختلف پھلوں جیسے خربوزہ ، امرود ، اور کنوں کی اسٹال لگے ہوئے ہیں۔ گول پھل توپ کے گولوں کی طرح نظر آتے ہیں۔ لالٹین کی روشنی میں پھل سرخ ، سنہرے رنگ کی عکاسی کرتے ہیں۔ وہ جنگ ، بدحالی اور غربت کےدنیا کوجو بڑے خطرات ہیں ان کونمایاں کرتا ہے۔ وہ بچوں کی معصومیت کا بھی ذکر کرتا ہے۔ وہ پھلوں سے لطف اندوز ہوتے ہیں اور جوس ان کی انگلیوں ، رخساروں ، ناک اور ٹھوڑی پر چپک جاتا ہے۔ وہ یہ دکھانا چاہتا ہے کہ جنگ ، بدحالی اور غربت کے خطرات بھی انسانی خوشیوں ، محبتوں اور معصومیت کو کچل نہیں سکتے ہیں۔
