یہ سطریں " ڈبلیو ایچ آڈن " کی تحریر کردہ نظم " نائٹ میل " سے لی گئی ہیں۔
context:
In this poem the poet has depicted the beautiful scene of night mail journey. The train brings letter for everyone and reached always in time everywhere. It is never disturbed by circumstances.
اس نظم میں شاعر نے رات کی گاڑی کےسفر کا خوبصورت منظر دکھایا ہے۔ ٹرین ہر ایک کے لیے خط لاتی ہے اور ہمیشہ  ہر جگہ وقت پرپہنچ جاتی ہے۔ یہ حالات کبھی بھی اس کے سفر میں رکاوٹ نہیں ڈال سکتے۔

In these lines the poet describes the journey of a railway Coach that carries mail. It brings letters, parcels, and cheques for people. The coach travels up the hilly areas and sometimes down the valleys and on the plains but it is always punctual. The Night Mail passes swiftly through meadows and cotton fields. The birds pay a little bit of attention to the fast moving coach, but the sheep and dogs take no notice of the Night Mail. Only a jug gently shakes in the bedroom.
ان سطروں میں شاعر ایک ایسے ریلوے گاڑی کے سفر کو بیان کرتا ہے جوخط لے کر جاتی ہے۔ یہ لوگوں کے لئے خطوط ، پارسل اور چیک لاتی ہے۔ گاڑی پہاڑی علاقوں اور کبھی کبھی وادیوں اور میدانی علاقوں میں سفر کرتی ہے لیکن یہ ہمیشہ وقت کی پابند ہوتی ہے۔ نائٹ میل گھاس کا میدان اور روئی کے کھیتوں میں تیزی سے گزرتی ہے۔ پرندے تیز چلتی گاڑی پر تھوڑی توجہ دیتے ہیں ، لیکن بھیڑ اور کتے رات کی  گاڑی  کا کوئی نوٹس نہیں لیتے ہیں۔ سونے کے کمرے میں صرف ایک جگ آہستہ سے ہلتا ​​ہے۔
