یہ سطریں "پی بی شیلے" کی تحریر کردہ نظم " اوزیمنڈئیس" سے لی گئی ہیں۔
context:
In this poem the poet ironically described the pride of a man and the realities of life. Man becomes proud by success. But life is merciless. Time brings all luxuries of life to an end. So man should not be proud.
اس نظم میں شاعر نے انسان کے غرور اور زندگی کی حقیقتوں کو طنزیہ طور پر بیان کیا ہے۔ انسان کامیابی سے مغرور ہو جاتا ہے۔ لیکن زندگی بے رحم ہے۔ وقت زندگی کی تمام آسائشوں کوختم کردیتا ہے۔ اس لیے انسان کو مغرورنہیں  ہو نا چاہئے۔

These lines show the end of a pride and vain man. The poet tells us the story of a traveller. The traveller tells the poet about a broken statue which he saw in a desert. The passions of arrogance and pride could be easily read from its structure. It was the statue of Ozymandias who was a great king. He was proud of his achievements.  But finally death snatches away everything. His broken statue lying in a desert gives a lesson of humbleness.
یہ سطریں ایک مغرور اور بیکار آدمی کے اختتام کو دکھاتی ہیں۔ شاعر ہمیں ایک مسافر کی کہانی سناتا ہے۔ مسافر شاعر کو ٹوٹے ہوئےمجسمے کے بارے میں بتاتا ہے جو اس نے صحرا میں دیکھا تھا۔ گھمنڈ اورغرور کے جذبات کو اس کے مجسمے سے آسانی سے پڑھا جاسکتا ہے۔ یہ اوزیمنڈئیس کا مجسمہ تھا جو ایک عظیم بادشاہ تھا۔ اسے اپنی کامیابیوں پرغرورتھا۔ لیکن آخر کار موت نے سب کچھ چھین لیا ۔ صحرا میں پڑا  اس کاٹوٹا ہوا مجسمہ عاجزی کا سبق دیتا ہے۔
